Traditional Manx stone Seaside cottage

Luxury, Five Star Graded

Forty Queen Street has two comfortable bedrooms to sleep four, plus an occasional two, either in five foot or twin beds, an enormous and welcoming country dining kitchen, a separate dining room and a cosy sitting room with an open fire.  It is centrally heated and has a family bathroom with a walk-in shower

The double height kitchen is superbly equipped with a range cooker, iroko worksurfaces, a belfast sink, a larder fridge and a separate wine fridge and a dishwasher.  The freezer and washing machine/dryer are in a practical bootroom  with separate cloakroom

Fluffy towels and  crisp bedlinen are all included

Amazing seaviews from the sitting room sofa, and from each bed provide a moment of wonder.  With a huge tidal range, the marine landscape changes all day, every day

Our private roof terrace, with a table and chairs, offers space to relax with friends and family

Our beds are big, our duvets light, and rooms simply furnished, with everything to make your stay a total escape - a real retreat. One bedroom, Scarlett, has a soaring beamed and vaulted ceiling for romance and the other, Shearwater, has a mini ensuite for luxury and privacy.  From each, you can lie in bed and see the sea!

Nestled in Castletown, and just 20 metres from the sea and brisk walk to the Scarlett peninsula and nature reserve, the cottage is entirely no smoking. The cottage is in a conservation area and the bus and the steam railway stops are nearby

Well behaved dogs and children are very welcome

We offer free WiFi internet access so that staying here means you can switch right off, choosing how much and when you stay in touch - so set yourself free!  Forty Queen Street is a 'no-shoes' house too - relaxed comfort.

A Sunday paper and a hamper of Manx produced foods is offered on arrival, with our compliments
